Handyman Technician I

Tru Handyman is looking for a reliable, motivated Handyman Technician I to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys fixing things, and has some hand-on experience with home repairs, maintenance or imporvement projects.

You do not need to be an expert in every trade. We are looking for someone who has a good basic understanding of tools and repairs, is comfortable learning new skills, and takes pride in doing quality work.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with and perform a variety of residential repair and improvement projects
• Work on tasks such as drywall repair, painting, mounting and installation, basic carpentry, furniture assembly, fixture replacement, and general home maintenance
• Safely use common hand and power tools
• Work inside customers’ homes while maintaining a clean, respectful, and professional work environment
• Help prepare work areas, gather materials, complete repairs, and clean up after projects
• Learn new repair techniques and take on more responsibility as your skills develop
• Communicate professionally with customers and other team members

What We’re Looking For

• Some hands-on experience with repairs, maintenance, construction, remodeling, or DIY projects
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
• Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot basic problems
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes
• Able to follow instructions while also using good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting materials, using ladders, and working on your feet

Experience That Is a Plus - But Not Required

Previous professional handyman or construction experience is not required. Experience can come from working on your own home, helping friends or family, previous maintenance or construction work, or completing jobs independently through platforms such as TaskRabbit or similar services.
