Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained
- Conduct sanitation procedures in kitchens, bathrooms, and high-touch areas to meet health standards
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or equipment safely using manual handling techniques
- Manage janitorial supplies inventory and notify supervisors when stock needs replenishing
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests or concerns from residents or guests
Experience
- Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and polishing methods
- Hands-on experience with laundry operations and custodial tasks
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping standards or janitorial procedures is a plus
- Outdoor work experience beneficial for maintaining exterior spaces and ensuring safety standards are met
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with care
