We are hiring a Full-Time Hotel Shuttle Driver Manager to oversee and support the daily operations of our shared hotel shuttle department serving both Tru by Hilton and Comfort Inn & Suites.
The Shuttle Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the shuttle department operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Magnus Hotel Management standards and the Salt Lake Airport Transportation requirements.
The successful candidate will be someone who can balance excellent guest service with the administrative responsibilities of managing a transportation operation. This position requires someone who is willing to drive, work alongside the team, maintain the vehicles and property, complete administrative work, and step in wherever needed to support the hotels.
Schedule
The position will work approximately 32–40 hours per week.
Available shifts may include:
- 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Overnight coverage as needed
Flexibility is required to assist with department coverage, call-outs, and operational needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required airport badge
- If you do not currently have an airport badge, we will assist with the application and approval process.
- Ability to safely operate hotel shuttle vehicles
- Ability to lift and carry guest luggage weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong guest-service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overnight coverage
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Ability to use mobile applications and hotel operating systems
- Ability to maintain accurate records, checklists, schedules, and reports
- Previous hotel, transportation, supervisory, or management experience is preferred
Basic Functions & Manager Responsibilities
The Shuttle Manager is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for hotel guests to and from the airport while ensuring the shuttle department meets Magnus Hotel Management standards.
Department Management
- Provide leadership and daily oversight of the shuttle department.
- Provide exceptional guest service and ensure all drivers maintain a professional and welcoming attitude.
- Prepare and maintain the weekly shuttle department schedule.
- Assist with coverage and find solutions for call-outs and staffing needs.
- Monitor driver performance and safety through the Motive application.
- Review Motive activity daily, including driving behavior, safety concerns, hard braking, speeding, extended stops, and other reported incidents.
- Report safety concerns, accidents, incidents, or other significant issues to the General Manager and Magnus Hotel Management as required.
- Monitor the Quore application to ensure required driver checklists and hotel duties are being completed.
- Ensure all shuttle drivers complete required shift checklists during downtime.
- Complete weekly shuttle department reports.
- Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation for the shuttle department, including the shuttle gas card.
- Assist the General Manager with administrative duties and other projects as assigned.
- Quickly and safely transport guests to the airport for departures on our regular shuttle schedule and to a few other approved locations as defined by the General Manager.
- Quickly and safely respond to a dispatch to pick up guests at the airport for arrivals as coordinated by the front desk or management.
- Assist guests by lifting and carrying guest baggage on and off the shuttle van as needed. Shuttle Driver must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Provide information and respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, attractions, directions, etc. in order to maximize guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain fuel levels in shuttle van
- Monitor and address ongoing maintenance needs of the shuttle van, including regular oil changes, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of the shuttle van, including window/windshield washing, vacuuming of the interior, removing garbage, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of the hotel parking lot and general grounds.
- Maintain cleanliness of hotel lobby, corridors and other public area including, but not limited to: vacuuming; sweeping; mopping; dusting; washing windows, light fixtures, tables and other furniture; checking restrooms for janitorial service needs; picking up trash; pulling trash from trashcans; emptying cigarette ash urns; etc.
Secondary Responsibilities to Hotel Lobby/Public and Exterior areas.
- Read all posted memos.
- Adhere to Magnus Hotel Management’s telephone etiquette.
- Replenish market supplies and coffee station supplies.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be required.
- Assist in other departments/areas of the hotel (breakfast, laundry, housekeeping, etc.) following a shift checklist for both hotels for public/lobby and exterior trash areas for cleanliness expectations.
- Possess working knowledge of the hotel, its facilities, events, departmental functions and personnel to respond to direct inquires as required.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
