Breakfast Host 6 am—11 am

The Tru by Hilton in Milford is currently seeking to recruit a friendly, cooperative professional with the flair to deliver service at the highest level, in the position of Breakfast Host. We are looking for morning people who enjoy serving and have reliable transportation for a full-time position at breakfast. Hours vary from 6:00 AM until 11:00 AM daily.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Prepare and transport food and beverage items to and from the buffet areas.
• Monitor area to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverage, trays, plates, utensils, napkins, condiments, etc. to serve all guests; replenish buffet items and areas as necessary.
• Follow preparation methods, times, and quality and presentation standards.
• Welcome guests and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-organized work and buffet area
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy restaurant or hotel preferred.
• Prior food preparation experience preferred, but not required.
• Standing up and moving about the kitchen and cafeteria.
• Handling food, objects, products and utensils.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and supervisors.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when preparing buffet items from instructions.
• Mathematical skills, including basic math, measurements, quantities, and variances are used frequently.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Shift 6 am to 11 am and can stay and help in Laundry if needed
