Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Nights)
Location: Augusta, GA
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Pay: $40-50/hr (hourly, non-exempt) plus a $2/hr shift differential
Shift: nights 6p-6a on a 4on, 4off schedule

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair plant systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
- Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, material handling, overhead and gantry crane, crushing, grinding, furnace, vacuum, pump, bag-house, silo, and casting operations as well as auxiliary equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including but not limited to PLCs (Siemens), SCADA systems, DCS. HMIs and other automation equipment
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general plant electrical equipment such as starters, PLCs (Siemens), start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V)
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance reliability
- Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, bearings, belts, valves, or gears, to restore functionality
- Lubricate and clean mechanical parts to ensure proper functioning and prevent premature wear
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory
- Understanding of measurement and testing devices and mechanical systems
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of electrical diagrams and/or circuits and utilize during troubleshooting
- Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- 6 years’ electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a complex processing industrial manufacturing environment
- 2 Year Technical Degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related preferred (but not required)
- Intermediate understanding of PLCs, ability to access program for troubleshooting purposes (light programming and edits a plus, would not be expected to fully program PLCs)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery, including principles of operation and maintenance requirements
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs and adjustments
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and instruments for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electric schematics, and engineering drawings
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts (likely 6p-6a or 7p-7a) on a 4on, 4off rotation which may include nights and weekends
