Field Service / Install Support & Training Technician

Location: Charleston / Mount Pleasant, SC (Open to candidates nationwide)
Travel: Approximately 65% North America Travel
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $60,000-$75,000 Base Salary (Flexible Based on Experience)

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an industry-leading manufacturer of architectural interior systems seeking a Field Service / Install Support & Training Technician to support installations, troubleshooting, training, and technical service activities throughout North America.

This is a highly visible customer-facing role ideal for someone with a hands-on installation, construction, field service, or technical support background who enjoys travel, problem-solving, and working directly with customers and installers. When not traveling, you will support production, assembly, quality, training, and continuous improvement activities at the Charleston-area facility.

This position offers significant growth potential into senior field service, training leadership, technical service management, and broader operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support customer and dealer installations throughout North America
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide hands-on technical support
• Manage service calls, punch-list items, and installation quality concerns
• Conduct installer, dealer, customer, and internal employee training
• Support product demonstrations, mockups, and technical project requirements
• Document field issues, root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned
• Communicate findings to engineering, quality, and production teams
• Ensure installations are completed to company standards and customer expectations
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, dealers, and project teams
• When not traveling, assist with:
• • Production support
  • Assembly activities
  • Quality inspections
  • Training initiatives
  • Work instruction development
  • Continuous improvement projects

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
• • Field Service
  • Installation
  • Commercial Construction
  • Technical Service
  • Mechanical Maintenance
  • Equipment Service
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
• Ability to read drawings, layouts, or installation documents
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to travel extensively throughout North America
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work safely in commercial construction and manufacturing environments

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following industries is highly desirable:

• Architectural Interiors
• Demountable Wall Systems
• Glazing / Glass Systems
• Doors & Hardware
• Millwork
• Commercial Interior Construction
• Installation Supervision
• Technical Field Service

Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience:

• Training installers or customers
• Performing installation quality audits
• Resolving field service or warranty issues
• Supporting manufacturing or production operations
