Summary:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role provides foundational support to accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial data, compliance with company policies, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong analytical skills, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Review and analyze financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation of transactions
- Assist with project accounting tasks, including cost tracking and reporting
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting on projects
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or prior experience in accounting or finance
- Exposure to project-based or construction accounting environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle)
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, global environment
