What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman - Pavement Marking position at TRP Infrastructures?

TRP Infrastructure Services is expanding its Aviation Division and seeking an experienced Airfield Striping Foreman to lead the development and daily operations of a newly established airfield pavement marking crew based out of Sanford, Florida.

This position will be responsible for supervising a crew of three or more employees performing airfield and aviation pavement marking projects throughout the state of Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience with pavement marking operations, crew leadership, customer interaction, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and production.

The Airfield Striping Foreman will serve as the primary field representative for TRP on aviation projects, ensuring work is completed according to specifications while maintaining strong relationships with airport personnel, contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

Lead and supervise a crew performing airfield pavement marking and striping operations.

Assign daily tasks and responsibilities based on project requirements and crew capabilities.

Coordinate daily work activities with Operations Management and customers.

Monitor production, quality, and safety throughout project execution.

Train and mentor crew members on proper striping techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

Ensure layout and installation of markings are completed according to project plans and specifications.

Assist in the development and growth of TRP’s Aviation Paint Division.

Install waterborne paint, epoxy, thermoplastic, and other pavement marking materials.

Perform and oversee layout of airfield markings, runway markings, taxiway markings, apron markings, and specialty aviation markings.

Verify daily quantities, measurements, and production.

Keep project schedules up to date and provide progress reports.

Collaborate with airport representatives, contractors, and inspectors during project implementation. Ensure all work complies with FAA, airport authority, DOT, customer, and company specifications.

Customer Relations

Serve as the primary field contact for customers and project stakeholders.

Communicate professionally with airport personnel, contractors, inspectors, and TRP management.

Address customer concerns and maintain positive working relationships.

Represent TRP Infrastructure Services with professionalism at all times.

Safety & Compliance

Promote and enforce TRP’s safety culture and policies.

Conduct daily jobsite safety meetings and hazard assessments.

Ensure all employees wear required PPE and follow safe work practices.

Monitor work zones and traffic control operations.

Maintain compliance with FAA, OSHA, DOT, and company safety requirements.

Ensure all equipment inspections, vehicle inspections, and safety documentation are completed accurately.

Equipment & Documentation

Complete daily reports including labor hours, production quantities, material usage, equipment usage, and project progress.

Ensure pre-trip and post-trip inspections are completed and documented.

Maintain vehicles, striping equipment, and support equipment in clean and serviceable condition.

Assist with equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance efforts.

Utilize smartphones, tablets, and company applications for project documentation and communication.

QualificationsRequired

Minimum 2–3 years of pavement marking or line striping experience.

Previous experience leading crews in pavement marking, construction, or related industries.

Ability to manage and supervise a crew of three or more employees.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Clean driving record.

Ability to pass criminal background screening and pre-employment drug testing.

Ability to travel throughout Florida and be away from home during the workweek as needed.

Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, and occasional holidays.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Ability to utilize smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications.

Preferred

Airfield/Aviation Pavement Marking experience.

FAA airfield marking knowledge.

CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement.

ATSSA Basic Flagger Certification.

Experience with thermoplastic, waterborne paint, epoxy, and specialty pavement marking materials.

Experience working in active airport environments.

Physical Requirements

Frequently lift and move 50 to 100 pounds.

Occasionally lift more than 100 pounds with assistance.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to work around moving equipment, active traffic, aircraft operations, fumes, dust, and noise.

Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and work boots.

Schedule & Travel

Monday through Friday schedule with frequent night work.

Overtime opportunities available.

Some weekend work may be required.

Travel throughout the State of Florida.
