What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lecturer-EEE position at Troy University?
The Department of Chemistry and Physics within the College of Science and Engineering invites applications for a Lecturer position in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach and develop courses in several of the following areas: DC/AC Circuit Analysis, Electronic (Semiconductor) Devices, Digital Logic, Programmable Logic Controllers, Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems, Robotics/Automation, Telecommunications Electronics, and other Electrical/Electronic Engineering subjects.
- Participate in student recruitment, academic advising, and institutional and/or community service activities.
- Serve on department, college, and university committees as assigned.
- Supervise senior design or research projects as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and accreditation activities of the EEE program and the department.
- Attend university and college meetings, convocations, commencements, and other official functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair and Dean of the College of Science and Engineering.
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to effective teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work collegially and productively within a team environment.
- Prior teaching experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering courses (lectures and laboratories).
