What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Administrative Assistant - Recreation position at Troy University?
The Graduate Administrative Assistant for Recreation duties include:
- Working with other Graduate Assistants on a rotating basis of being “on call” for the facility.
- Ensuring student workers are monitoring workout areas including cleaning equipment and assisting students.
- Monitoring all exercise equipment to ensure that it is operating properly.
- Assisting with the building operations including opening and closing hours, equipment management and additional staff.
- Teaching fitness classes as needed.
- Other duties assigned.
Must be a current Troy University graduate student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
Please note: Student positions are FICA/Medicare exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester the work is performed. To qualify for the FICA/Medicare exemption, you must be enrolled on a half-time basis for the Fall, Spring, or Summer.
