We are a manufacturing company that produces sheet metal and plastic products for public safety vehicles, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily workplace safety inspections throughout the manufacturing floor.
- Help maintain safety documentation, logs, and training records.
- Support the Safety Representative/Manager with compliance tasks, audits, and safety initiatives.
- Participate in safety meetings and assist with preparing materials or training content.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or hazards promptly.
- Help ensure employees follow safety policies and procedures related to machinery, equipment, and material handling.
- Assist in promoting a safe and organized working environment in areas where sheet metal and plastics are fabricated, handled, and assembled.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or at least one year of related experience.
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, document creation).
- Proficient English writing skills for reports and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others in a manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
