What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Manager position at Troy Intermediate School?
The Troy Area School District is seeking a cafeteria manager for the 2026-2027 school year. The Cafeteria Manager shall be directly responsible to the Food Service Director for supervision and evaluation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare food following standardized recipes, in accordance with the menu.
2. Follow state and federal guidelines concerning the use and care of equipment, personal habits and sanitation standards.
3. Count and deposit all monies of the cafeteria daily.
4. Record amounts of money received for all accounts in accordance with guidelines given by the Food Service Director.
5. Requisition food according to menu and maintain food inventory.
6. Assist in the cafeteria to include food preparation, service and cleaning.
7. Maintain required forms and records to include managing student accounts
8. Attend job related training classes and in-services to keep up-to-date in any changes in the program, as requested by the Food Service Director.
9. Responsible for any grants received by the district and for the Nutritional Education Announcements made on a daily basis. 10. Supervise the cafeteria staff to include scheduling, interviewing new employees, monitoring and evaluation staff.
11. Maintain a safe working environment by following all policies, regulations and laws applicable.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
