What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Interventionist Long-Term Substitute position at Troy Elementary School?
Description: The Behavior Interventionist (BI) long-term substitute will provide 1:1 behavioral support for a student with behavioral challenges as well as social emotional developmental skill deficits. The BI will implement a behavior intervention plan, assist to teach life skills, observe student behavior, support the collection of student data, and promote consistent behavioral responses.
Qualifications:
1.Associate degree in related field preferred, or at minimum 48 college credits.
2.Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in working with students who have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
3.CPI certified, or willingness to get certified within three months of hire.
4.Ability to communicate, collaborate and relate effectively with others.
5.Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills as well as the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
6.A positive attitude towards child and those involved in the child’s educational program.
Salary and benefits: Approximate rate of pay range is between $21.50 and $23.00 an hour, depending on experience. There are no benefits offered under this position.
