Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. As a vital restaurant staff member, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are washed and sanitized promptly. Your role is essential in supporting the seamless operations of our restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met.

Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen utensils used in food preparation and service.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Regularly maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including countertops, sinks, and floors, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Assist Kitchen Staff: Support the kitchen team by ensuring they have a steady supply of clean and sanitized equipment and utensils during busy service hours.
• Trash and Recycling: Manage the disposal of trash and recyclables, keeping designated areas clean and adhering to waste management guidelines.
• Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace, including properly handling cleaning chemicals.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and assist in any other duties as required during busy periods.
• Evening Shifts: Availability to work during evening shifts, which may include weekends and holidays, to support the restaurant's operation during peak hours.
• Cleaning Schedule: Follow the restaurant's designated cleaning schedule and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Equipment Maintenance: Promptly report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Efficiency: Work efficiently and with attention to detail to ensure a continuous flow of clean dishes and utensils during high-volume periods.

Qualifications:

• Previous Experience: Prior experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar food service environment is an asset but not mandatory.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads, including dishware and kitchen equipment.
• Time Management: Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet the demands of a busy restaurant setting.
