Job Summary
Acme Alliance is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC machining and manufacturing processes. This individual will play a key role in improving tooling, machining methods, workflow efficiency, and overall production performance. The ideal candidate comes from a CNC, machining, mills/lathes, machine shop, or metal removal environment and is skilled in driving process improvements that enhance quality, reduce costs, and support new product introductions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC machining processes to improve quality, repeatability, and throughput.
- Design, evaluate, and implement tooling, fixtures, setup instructions, and process documentation.
- Diagnose machining and production issues; lead corrective and preventive action efforts.
- Partner with engineering, design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment with specifications.
- Support new product introduction activities including process development, validation, and workflow setup.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis.
- Analyze process performance and identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and optimize cost.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working with CNC machining, mills/lathes, or machine shop environments.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and machining process optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
