Reports to F&B Manager
Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00 / hr. (based on experience)
Position Summary:
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating an exceptional dining experience. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations in an upscale, high-service environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized waitlist using the restaurant’s reservation system
- Coordinate seating to ensure an efficient flow of service and balanced table assignments
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special occasions to servers and management
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the host stand and entry area
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide accurate information about the restaurant
- Assist with guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional manner
- Support the management team with guest flow, pacing, and coordination during busy service periods
- Uphold fine-dining standards of hospitality, etiquette, and professionalism
Qualifications:
- Previous hosting or customer service experience, preferably in an upscale or fine-dining environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and polished demeanor
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using reservation software (training provided)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
