About the Role

The Manager of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth by building and nurturing relationships with Travel Advisors (TAs), Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), and regional sales partners. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts while ensuring Dutchfield properties remain top-of-mind for potential clients. The Manager of Sales works closely with the broader team to develop sales strategies, manage business development initiatives, and maximize revenue potential.


Key Responsibilities

Travel Advisors (TAs):

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key TAs, including Virtuoso, Smartflyer, Fora, JMAK, and others.
  • Schedule regular meetings, travel agency visits, roadshows, and industry events to strengthen partnerships.
  • Identify new business opportunities and sales leads to increase bookings and drive revenue.
  • Provide TAs with exclusive offers, packages, and tailored experiences to enhance engagement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for TAs, ensuring their needs are met and communication is consistent.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies focused on OTAs (Amex, Booking.com, Mr Mrs Smith, Tablet) and TAs.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities for both Troutbeck and Belden House to increase bookings and revenue.
  • Ensure all offers and packages align with target markets, competitive pricing, and property offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new sales channels and initiatives.

Regional and Social Group Sales:

  • Cultivate relationships with regional partners, including schools, ski resorts, and local organizations, to secure group bookings.
  • Develop tailored outreach strategies for regional business opportunities.
  • Oversee social group sales, including wellness retreats, bike tours, family reunions, and milestone events.

Reporting and Sales Tracking:

  • Monitor sales performance and track key metrics such as bookings, revenue, and market trends.
  • Analyze data to adjust sales strategies and optimize results.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on progress toward sales goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in hotel sales, with expertise in TAs, OTAs, and regional sales.
  • Strong sales acumen with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and focus on client retention.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with Opera, Tripleseat, and Duetto is a plus.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in social group sales, including wellness retreats, corporate events, and family gatherings.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.

Desired Skills:

  • Tech-savvy with a strong understanding of booking systems and hospitality software.
  • Knowledge of OTAs and experience managing online booking channels.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through sales-driven efforts.

Salary : $91,000 - $110,000
