Position Summary
Trout Unlimited is seeking a Membership Services Specialist to deliver an exceptional experience to our members through outstanding customer service and accurate membership processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, is detail-oriented, and thrives in both front-line and behind-the-scenes work. This position will be hybrid/remote.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a main point of contact for members via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Manage inbound and outbound communications in partnership with TU’s third-party call center, ensuring quality and timely responses.
- Assist members with renewals, billing, benefits, donations, login issues, and general inquiries.
- Maintain and update membership records in TU’s CRM (NetForum), ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Process memberships, donations, and fulfillment requests, including special and workplace giving orders.
- Generate tax letters and provide feedback on campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support member engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring strengths in at least 80% of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one (1) to three (3) years of professional experience in customer service, call center operations, or membership services.
- Excellent communication skills with a member-first mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Experience with CRM systems (NetForum or similar preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with third-party vendors a plus.
- Commitment to TU’s mission and values; passion for angling preferred.
