Overview

Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing residential roofing projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, a focus on efficient production processes, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment in a fast-paced environment. The manager will ensure that projects meet quality standards, timelines, and safety regulations while effectively communicating with various stakeholders.

Compensation

  • $65k - $85k Salary based on experience and skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise total roof construction project to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, laws, code, and best practices.
  • Material management: ordering, scheduling, delivery, returns.
  • Supply and manage pre, during, and post job photos for record keeping and CRM.
  • Includes interfacing with customers, sales team, other contractors, etc.
  • Enforce on-site safety program to maintain a safe job site.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and ensure overall contractual performance. Negotiate job cost and contract with crew. Ensure crews have current and appropriate insurance and can produce COI before starting jobs.
  • Constantly update customers daily and update CRM.
  • Manage and schedule up to 21 jobs per week.
  • Provide technical assistance as needed on projects.
  • Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety rules, company policies, etc.
  • Document all violations and recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
  • Negotiate pricing with roofing material suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Improve and document procedure processes.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide project execution.
  • Provide training and support to employees and subcontractors as needed.
  • Maintain an organized workflow and oversee day-to-day operations of the production process.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in roofing or construction as a supervisor, production manager, operations specialist, or operations manager. You will be responsible for tracking current and upcoming jobs, ordering, delivering and returning materials from suppliers, recruiting job production teams (roofing crews), negotiate roofing job prices with subs, negotiating roofing material pricing with suppliers and manufacturers and supporting the customer job tracking process, and more. Must be able to support up to 21 jobs per week. Must provide a resume with relevant experience and verifiable projects completed on time with a satisfied customer. References will be highly considered during the hiring process.

  • Strong technical, and communication skills, including email and document management organization within a CRM.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to manage a team and multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal building code regulations.
  • Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.
  • Efficient computer skills for different technology platforms.
  • Must be able to lift/move materials up to 50lbs in weight.
  • High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Bachelors of Science level college education preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
