Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Pekin, IL. This role is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC issues, performing maintenance and repair on residential and commercial heating and cooling systems, and conducting preventive maintenance to improve system performance and efficiency. The technician will install and service equipment in accordance with safety and regulatory standards, including applicable EPA guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include responding to service calls, communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommendations, maintaining accurate service records, and collaborating with team members to ensure timely and quality work. The technician is expected to uphold high standards of customer satisfaction and represent Trouble Free Plumbing Heating and Cooling in a professional manner.

Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, including accurate problem diagnosis and solution implementation
- Experience with maintenance & repair tasks for heating and cooling equipment, including system installation and service
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance to optimize performance, extend equipment life, and improve energy efficiency
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with clear communication and a service-oriented approach in residential and commercial settings
- EPA certification or ability to obtain certification for handling refrigerants and working in compliance with environmental regulations
- Knowledge of HVAC safety standards, local codes, and best practices for on-site work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to customer locations
- Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC; prior field experience as an HVAC service technician is preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
