Location: The Woodlands, TX (Onsite)

Note: This is a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer role. Candidates with only Security Analyst, GRC, Compliance, or Assessment experience will not be a fit.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to protect enterprise systems, manage security tools, investigate security incidents, and improve the organization's overall security posture. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with firewalls, endpoint security, SIEM, Microsoft security tools, and vulnerability management.
Must Have Skills
- Palo Alto Firewalls (rule creation & troubleshooting)
- CrowdStrike Falcon EDR
- Proofpoint Email Security
- Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview
- SIEM tools (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, ELK, etc.)
- Vulnerability Management
- Network & Cloud Security
- Experience working with MSSPs (Managed Security Service Providers)Key Responsibilities
- Handle complex security incidents as a Tier 3 escalation engineer.
- Manage and maintain enterprise security tools.
- Configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewall rules.
- Monitor and manage CrowdStrike and Proofpoint security solutions.
- Create and optimize SIEM alerts and use cases.
- Secure Microsoft cloud environments using Defender, Sentinel, and Purview.
- Lead vulnerability scanning, remediation, and reporting.
- Coordinate with MSSPs and third-party security vendors.
- Perform threat hunting and security investigations.
- Maintain security documentation and incident response procedures.
Required Experience
- 10 years of hands-on Cybersecurity Engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of:
- Palo Alto Networks
- CrowdStrike Falcon
- Proofpoint
- Microsoft Security Suite
- SIEM platforms
- Network Security
- Endpoint Security
- Cloud Security
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications such as:
- Security
- CySA
- CEH
- GIAC (GSEC, GCIA, GCIH)
- Microsoft SC-200 / SC-300
- CISSP or CISM
Knowledge of:
- SOAR
- Threat Intelligence Platforms
- Zero Trust Architecture
- Azure, AWS, or GCP Cloud Security
Not a Fit
- Security Analysts focused only on monitoring.
- GRC, Compliance, Risk, or Audit professionals.
- Candidates with only vulnerability assessments and no engineering experience.
- Professionals without hands-on experience managing enterprise security tools.
