Join Tropical Cheese Industries, a leader in the Hispanic food industry for over 40 years, as our first Manager, Revenue Growth Management (RGM)
Summary
The RGM Manager owns how Tropical Cheese prices, promotes and packages its portfolio across all channels, including retail, DSD, foodservice and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Governance and Leadership
- Build the annual pricing, promotion and trade spend budget, set clear revenue and margin targets, and track performance against them
- Establish and run a monthly revenue review with Sales, Finance and Marketing leadership
- Define and enforce pricing and trade guardrails by retailer and channel, alongside working closely with retailers to enforce these
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing and Operations, and train the sales team on pricing, promotion and trade tools and guidelines
- Lead and develop one direct report (RGM Analyst): set priorities, coach on analytical and commercial judgment, and build the capability of the RGM function
- Other duties as required by the business
Pricing and Price-Pack Architecture
- Own the list price architecture across the portfolio; recommend, size and sequence all price changes by brand, pack, channel and customer
- Lead price-pack architecture design: pack sizes, key price points, price tiers and good-better-best laddering by channel
- Recommend portfolio and mix actions that shift volume toward higher-margin packs, brands and channels
Promotion and Trade Spend
- Own promotional strategy and the promotion calendar recommendation by retailer
- Evaluate promotional ROI by customer, brand and event
- Manage trade spend against budget; partner with Finance on accrual accuracy and deduction resolution
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced Excel proficiency (required) – scenario modeling, large data sets, and the ability to build clean, auditable tools from scratch
- Power BI or Tableau (required)
- Experience with syndicated and retailer data: Circana, NielsenIQ, and retailer portals (Walmart Scintilla, and similar)
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ownership of pricing, promotion or trade investment decisions in a CPG or food manufacturing environment
- Strong P&L and margin literacy: gross-to-net, trade spend, customer profitability, elasticity and ROI
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered
- Minimum 4-6 years of commercial experience in CPG or food manufacturing, including 2 years directly applied to revenue growth management, pricing, trade strategy, category management or commercial finance
- Experience in Hispanic foods, dairy, deli / perimeter or other perishable categories strongly preferred
- Direct store delivery (DSD) experience strongly preferred
