Warehouse/Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Warehouse Associate, Backup Non-CDL Driver

You are the kind of person who notices what others miss, takes ownership without being asked, and leaves every shift knowing the work was done right. Tropic Supply was built by people like you.

Full-Time | Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM | West Palm Beach, FL | Tropic Supply, Inc.

Two Roles. One Standard.

This position is primarily warehouse work with a real secondary responsibility. When the operation needs coverage, you get behind the wheel. That means we need someone who is excellent in the warehouse and qualified and professional on the road. If you bring both, this is a stable, long-term role inside Florida's largest independent, family-owned HVAC and refrigeration distribution company.

Why Tropic Supply

We have been family-owned and operated for more than 53 years. That kind of longevity does not happen by accident. It happens because we take care of the people who take care of us, our customers and our team alike, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team that stays.

What You Will Own

In the warehouse, where you will spend most of your time:

• Load and unload trucks and trailers, positioning and securing pallets safely
• Pull and fill orders with accuracy, then stage them for shipment
• Receive and stock incoming inventory, and complete basic shipping and receiving documentation
• Verify parts, serial numbers, and paperwork against physical inventory at every step
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits
• Operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, including required pre-shift equipment checks

As a backup driver, when the operation calls for you:

• Safely operate Tropic Supply vans and light box trucks under 26,001 lbs GVWR on local routes
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Verify product accuracy and handle delivery documentation
• Represent Tropic Supply professionally at every stop

Safe operation and accurate paperwork are non-negotiable.

• Assist counter sales with order fulfillment and help customers load product safely
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized to standard

Attention to detail is not a soft skill here. It is the job. A wrong pull or a missed serial number creates a real problem for a contractor downstream, and we hold that standard every day.

What You Must Bring

Driving Requirements, Non-Negotiable

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Motor vehicle record subject to review and approval per Tropic Supply driving standards
• Minimum six months of verifiable non-CDL commercial vehicle driving experience within the last three years
• Valid DOT medical certificate
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for safety compliance, delivery documentation, and customer interaction

Warehouse Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating a sit-down forklift, required
• Minimum one year of warehouse experience in a distribution, supply, or logistics environment
• Working knowledge of RF scanning equipment, warehouse management systems, and basic computer operations
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs consistently throughout a shift and sustain physical activity in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Strong attention to detail and a documented track record of order and inventory accuracy
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, safety materials, and company procedures

Physical Requirements

This role combines full warehouse shifts with periodic driving responsibilities in Florida heat. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand, walk, and remain physically active throughout a shift of up to 8.5 hours
• Lift, carry, and position materials weighing up to 75 lbs unassisted
• Bend, stoop, reach, and kneel as required by picking, stocking, and loading tasks
• Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently
• Push and pull loaded carts and hand trucks on warehouse and loading dock surfaces
• Operate a motor vehicle for local deliveries, including repeated cab entry and exit
• Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment subject to Florida heat and ambient noise
• Wear required personal protective equipment throughout the shift

Who Fits This Role

• Does not cut corners in the warehouse and does not take shortcuts on the road
• Carries the same professionalism on a delivery as on the floor
• Shows up ready to work physically, every shift
• Dependable, self-directed, and ready for a long-term home

What Tropic Supply Offers

• Voluntary short-term and long-term disability
