Trophy World is a locally owned business selling and manufacturing trophies and awards, name tags, name plates and ID badges, plastic legend plates, heat press / sublimation products, gifts, lasering, engraving, and more. We are the Quad Cities' choice for premier custom awards. We are seeking a Production Worker who is creative, detail-oriented, and reliable. They will be responsible for creating company products and providing services and assisting customers with their needs.
Production Worker duties and responsibilities
Production Workers perform a variety of tasks to offer quality products and exceptional service to customers. Their duties and responsibilities include:
- Creative Mindset with strong grammar and spelling skills.
- Open / Close the store.
- Ensure workshop is clean and presentable.
- Use hand tools: screwdriver, ruler, tape measure, nut driver, etc.
- Use power tools: cordless drill, drill press, edge beveller, etc..
- Industry equipment: Engraving, laser engraving, sublimation printer and heat press, hole punch, etc.
- Job requires the ability to accurately measure items frequently.
- Ability to cut products accurately is a must.
- This position requires attention to detail and accuracy.
- Required to create products by typesetting, spell checking, creating, replicating products.
- Must be able to assemble products.
- Help customers to / from their vehicles by assisting with packages.
- Customer Service.
- Giving detailed explanations of services or products.
- Communicating with customers in-person, through email, or over the phone.
- Receiving orders, calculating charges.
- Meeting service performance and transaction standards for Customer Service and striving to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Generate product and service Quotes.
- Enter and maintain customer data.
- Other duties as assigned.
Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an indoor workshop environment, small retail store with public contact, and office setting. Weekdays 8:30am to 5:00pm. We are closed weekends and major holidays.
Physical:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a workshop setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight 40 lbs; to operate tools and equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a desktop PC, ruler, and shear; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. This position requires the worker to be able to see and distinguish color.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years minimum using hand tools.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to work with staff and coworkers.
- Dexterity to use the tools and equipment of the trade.
- Proficient in use of Personal Computer.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Windows.
- Familiarity with and/or willingness to adopt new technologies.
- Ability to transition easily from one activity to another.
- Ability to multi-task, managing multiple concurrent projects, while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Some experience with graphic editing a plus.
- Some experience engraving and/or laser engraving a plus.
- Experience using QuickBooks is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time, M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm generally.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
