Job Summary:
The Spray Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate application of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other turf and landscape treatments across the course and practice facility. This position requires a strong understanding of chemical application techniques, proper equipment calibration, and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately mix, prepare, and apply chemical solutions, including fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides to turf, trees, shrubs, and other plant materials.

Safely operate and maintain all spray equipment such as boom sprayers, handheld sprayers, and granular spreaders.

Conduct routine inspections of golf courses, practice areas, and landscaped grounds to identify pest issues, disease, or areas requiring treatment.

Maintain detailed records of all chemical applications, including the type of chemical used, the application rate, and areas treated.

Calibrate spray equipment to ensure proper distribution of chemicals and maintain precision in all applications.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to pesticide application and safety procedures.

Communicate effectively with the Superintendent and team members regarding course conditions, pest problems, and treatment plans.

Assist in maintaining the overall health and presentation of the golf course, including supporting turf and grounds maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in turf management, agronomy, or a related field, with experience in chemical applications.

Strong understanding of chemical safety, turf diseases, weeds, and pests.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:
