What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at Troon?
Responsibilities:
Welcoming Members and their guests.
Approach all encounters with Members, guests, and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous manner.
Ask Members for a key FOB or to verify their address to ensure non-members are not using the pool – when applicable.
Set up umbrellas and the cabanas; neatly arrange all pool furniture.
Set up for Water Wellness classes, when applicable.
Assist with set up for events on the pool deck, when applicable.
Ensure Members reserving space on the pool deck have the proper approval to do so.
Ensure Members and their guests are complying with Rules and Regulations as presented in the Member Handbook.
Ensures the area is clean of trash and debris.
Empties trash containers on the pool deck throughout the day, as needed. The trash containers should be emptied and the umbrellas lowered before leaving at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
The ability to swim is highly desirable.
Prior experience in a related position is helpful.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
The ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Must convey a positive and “can-do” attitude at all times, including during high-stressful situations.
Must be able communicate effectively with other team members and guests.
The nature of the work requires the employee to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. This position will require long periods of standing and walking, as well as working outdoors.
Pay: $17/hr
Weekend Days
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Days and hours will be determined by the property. The schedule may change to accommodate the business needs of the property.
