What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook at Knob Hill Golf Club position at Troon?
Knob Hill Golf Club, located in Englishtown, NJ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Knob Hill Golf Club caters to a diverse membership and hosts all types of banquet events (weddings, golf outings, member events, bar mitzvahs, showers, meetings, etc.) We also have a full bar inside the clubs restaurant, The Sycamore Grille. We are open all year and are open to the public. The Grill Cook would work the line for the restaurant and when needed, will do other prep for banquets and events.
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities of the Line Cook:
- Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality.
- Expedites orders in a timely manner.
- Practices excellent operational sanitation.
- Executes scheduled banquet functions.
- Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates.
- Helps reduce loss/waste.
- Communicates equipment repair needs with chef.
- Actively participates in training efforts.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Checks and dates all deliveries received and report any variances to chef in charge.
- Verifies that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis.
- Processes inventory requisition and receives supplies as necessary for quality production.
- Prepares the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans.
- Prepares items in accordance with established recipes for a consistent product.
Other Qualifications:
- Serv Safe Certified preferred.
