The Colony Golf and Country Club is seeking a passionate and driven Head Tennis Professional to lead our club's tennis program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality tennis instruction, managing staff, organizing events, and fostering a vibrant and inclusive tennis community.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive tennis program for all ages and skill levels, including private lessons, clinics, camps, and leagues.
- Instruction: Provide expert tennis coaching and instruction, utilizing modern techniques and a positive teaching style.
* Court Maintenance: Assist when needed. Brushing, lining, Repairs, etc. * Member Engagement: Actively engage with club members to promote participation, address their needs, and build strong relationships.
- Event Coordination: Organize and run tennis tournaments, social events, and special programming to enhance the member experience.
- Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of tennis courts and equipment, working with club management to ensure a safe and high-quality playing environment.
- Administrative Duties: Manage program registration, scheduling, billing, and reporting, and contribute to the department's budget planning. As well as assisting with pro shop hours.
Qualifications
- Certification: USPTA or PTR certified professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing a tennis program and coaching players of all levels.
- Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. A passion for tennis and a commitment to providing exceptional member-service.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the program.
