Princeville Makai Golf Shop, located in Princeville, HI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Golf Shop Sales Associate! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Key Responsibilities of the Golf Shop Attendant:
- Assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals on the daily management of golf operations
- Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play; reconciles daily tee sheets
- Assist in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
- Promotes all club golf activities.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
- Assist with maintaining proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership.
- Assist golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games.
- Monitors all members’ scores, reports handicapping to USGA and bills members.
- Follows established opening and closing procedures.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Work experience and education requirements:
- Prefer previous golf course and/or retail experience
- High School Diploma
- Prefer some College or College Degree, or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Traits:
- Must be motivated to thrive in the golf industry
- Experienced in written and oral business communication
- Experienced in computer user including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Publisher. Proficient in other applications, i.e., email, internet, and database
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
- Service and customer focused attitude
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community
