General Purpose – Responsible for delivering sales and marketing protocols and deliverables to assigned private clubs as Sales & Marketing Lead; Providing resource support for corporate delivery of sales and marketing training and tools to the regional sales and marketing directors and the private club portfolio; Contribution to corporate sales and marketing activities as established lead on a corporate program. This position is based in Troon’s Scottsdale, AZ, office and is not a remote opportunity.
Essential Duties
- Support private clubs in developing sales and marketing plans to meet revenue/retention goals.
- Implementing and maintaining established protocols for service standards;
- Utilizing templates/best practices as established in the Membership Master Plan.
- Support execution of private club sales and marketing plans through Troon brand leverage, resources, and programs.
- Provide resource support for the delivery of the Troon Privé sales and marketing approach (Membership Master Plan) to regional sales and marketing directors and private club teams, such as:
- Content development and presentation at Fusion Forum and Global Leadership Conference;
- Specific training related to area(s) of expertise (TBD);
- Recruitment of sales, marketing, and communications prospects; Maintenance of prospect pipeline and resource for placement of permanent and interim private club sales and marketing personnel;
- Assistance in delivery of the Membership Master Plan Boot Camp, including maintenance of the Playbook and templated deliverables as needed;
- Incorporates safe work practices in field job performance; Consistent and reliable attendance.
Preferences for Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree and/or five years related and accomplished experience (private club or hospitality industry preferred).
- Proven success in the field of sales and marketing, preferably in a membership and private club environment working with varied levels of key stakeholders.
- Excellent communications, presentation, problem solving, and sales/marketing expertise.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex information in order to recommend the appropriate best practices, and/or develop new practices and approaches.
- Proven and current working knowledge of social media, website development and maintenance, graphic design, video production, and photography; Comfortable with and/or an early adapter of technology such as AI and online design platforms.
- Ability to excel while working independently and with a team.
- Ability to read and speak English fluently. Fluency in Spanish would be a bonus.
- Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications desired.
Travel/Physical Demands – Based in Troon’s Scottsdale, AZ, office, this is not a remote opportunity. This position requires up to 50% travel. Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, tastes or smells. Regularly uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
