Esplanade Golf and Country Club is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Part-Time Daytime Cook! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a hospitality environment and are passionate about delivering superior service to our members and guests.
Compensation: $24.00 BOE
- Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation.
- Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring freshness of product daily.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
- Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking.
- Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food products.
- Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products.
- Receives and inventories food and beverage product and supplies.
- Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
- Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by Department Manager.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with high-end prep desirable.
- Experience in a scratch kitchen mandatory.
Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather. Noise level is moderate.
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
