Calusa Country Club, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant Mechanic! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and other power equipment
- Lubricate and service all equipment
- Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments where necessary
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs and their components
- Inspect, change and repair tires
- Assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff
- Clean working areas after repair work is completed
- Assist in fabricating, body repair and painting
- Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment
- Assist on the maintenance crew and operate mowing equipment when servicing is complete
- Assist in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of the golf course equipment
- Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment as needed
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certificate from college or technical school
- Must have 2 years of experience with small engine repairs and maintenance
- Must have a valid driver's license
