JOB OVERVIEW
Provides excellent customer service to members and guests of the fitness facility. Checks people into massage appointments and maintains a clean work area. Maintains a professional, respectful relationship with massage clientele. Escorts them to and from their massage appointment. Delivers professional quality massage using hot stones, deep muscle, or other techniques based on appropriate training, certification, and licensing. Keeps license and certifications current and active. Maintains a clean, sanitized work area and sterilizes tools. Sets up workstation and/or treatment room with necessary products, equipment, and supplies to ensure guests’ comfort and safety
Completes- continuing education credits as may be required by the state regulatory board of massage therapists.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs professional-quality massage, within the scope of practice and licensing (as applicable).
- Designs specific sessions based on members' or guests’ individual needs.
- Assists in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy regularly.
- Creates excellent member/guest experience through a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Performs hot stone, deep muscle, or prenatal therapy, based on appropriate training and minimum clinic education hours.
- Utilizes other approved modalities in accordance with applicable law.
- Communicates various promotions to clients.
- Follows all practice policies and protocols.
- Completes Wellness Chart documentation accurately and completely.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests throughout the day.
- Always maintain positive guest relations, resolve any guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Set up workstation and/or treatment room with necessary products, equipment, and supplies to ensure guest comfort and safety
- Completing transactions through the POS system.
- Ensure the accuracy of contracted money and the ability to make customer transactions.
- The ability to provide proper greeting/salutations to extend to guests and use suggestive up-selling techniques to increase profit.
- Authenticated Member ID through Point of Sale during check-in.
- Recognize returning guests and greet them by name.
- Able and willing to perform other tasks to maintain a productive and successful work environment; complete and submit necessary paperwork.
- Assist with projects and any other reasonably requested duties
- Punctual and reliable.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma
- DORA required Certification/License
- Filing and organization skills.
- Familiar with and able to navigate the Point of Sales system / Membership system.
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (flexible schedule)
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods
- Knowledge of activities and amenities for the fitness club and café.
- Maintain complete knowledge of fitness center offerings, including equipment and classes
- Able to reach and routinely lift up to 25 pounds with an average of one-hour massage sessions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effective communicator capable of engaging a wide range of people on the phone and in person
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all company/departmental policies/services/procedures/standards.
- Excellent telephone, organizational, and time-management skills
- Work with moderate independence and multitask effectively
- General computer knowledge (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in customer service and massage therapy.
- Good Bedside manner with the ability to engage the customer in the massage therapy process by identifying areas of concern/pain/lack of mobility etc.
- Physiological knowledge of the human body, including muscle and bone structure

Part-Time Compensation:
This position is part-time and compensated at minimum wage, paid bi-weekly, plus commissions as outlined in the Company’s Commission Plan.
Salary : $15
