C&D Technologies, Inc. has an opening for a full-time Plant Manager in Sandersville, GA 31082
Salary range: $133,578 - $160,000. Duties are to direct, supervise, organize, assign work, and maintain the highest level of plant safety and environmental controls. Maintain a high standard of quality and a productive climate for the departments of responsibility. Effectively communicate and support company policies and procedures. Assist and support Management team and company values by providing strong leadership along with training and support for subordinate supervisors / staff. Set goals for staff and maintain the measurement of those goals. Develop the staff with coaching, training, and performance feedback tools by following Trojan’s official developing program. Control and improve production operational cost and improve manufacturing processes. Plan, coordinate, and direct the activities thru direct and indirect departments such as engineering, maintenance, materials, production, EH&S, Quality, as well as ensure that all repairs of equipment, systems, machines, tools, buildings, structures, and facilities are maintained. This position is also responsible to support and improve the preventive maintenance system and for the planning of direct Capital budget projects, process improvements, and departmental budget/spending programs for the facility. Support Trojan Business Excellence system for continuous improvement to help drive the organization to world class status. Utilize best business practices and methods to achieve company goals. Contribute to the team effort for meeting internal and external customer requirements including on-time shipments. Implement and follow lean manufacturing culture and methodologies by using continuous improvement techniques to help promote positive change in the organization. Responsible for the development of talent under leadership. A Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Engineering specialty plus 84 months experience in leading a manufacturing team is required with 7 years’ experience in each of the following: In production and maintenance with continuous improvement; in strategy deployment; in continued process improvement and identify and anticipate customer needs and make sound decisions regarding appropriate action; in coaching, performance feedback and training of subordinate supervision; with preventative maintenance systems; in analyzing reports and implementing plans of corrective action; in executing/ accomplishing plans and directives; in using MS Office and ERP systems (Plex preferred); in Project management skills and in utilizing “MS Project”; in Shop floor control and implementation. May need to work on weekends as required and on-call 24/7 for the operation.
