The Driver/Warehouse Employee is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers while supporting warehouse operations. This role requires accuracy, reliability, and a strong commitment to customer service. Employees must arrive on time, be prepared to perform assigned duties, and assist coworkers as needed to ensure successful daily operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving & Delivery
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle to transport products to designated customer locations.
- Confirm delivery destinations, select efficient routes, and comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload products with care, ensuring proper handling, security, and product integrity.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts and customer signatures.
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide exceptional customer service.
- Address customer questions or concerns professionally to ensure a positive delivery experience.
Sales
- Assist customers in selecting products, answering questions, and providing recommendations based on their needs.
- Stay informed on product knowledge, promotions, and company policies.
- Support merchandising efforts to up sell new product and existing product.
Vehicle & Safety Compliance
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Maintain vehicle forms and supplies.
- Promptly report vehicle issues or safety concerns to supervisors or office staff.
- Follow company policies, state and federal highway regulations, and safe operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean driving record. Atfault accidents, moving violations, product loss, theft, or safety violations may result in immediate dismissal.
Warehouse & Team Support
- Assist with warehouse duties including loading, unloading, staging, and general cleanup as directed.
- Help coworkers as needed to ensure all loadouts and deliveries are completed on time.
- Maintain safe product handling and storage procedures.
- Support team operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Work Environment
- Approximately 80% of job duties are performed in a warehouse environment which contains coolers, freezers, outdoor docks. The position may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, traffic conditions, and moving equipment.
- Work may also take place within a box truck, driving box truck, loading box truck, unloading box truck, delivering product in inclement weather.
Physical Requirements/Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb stairs.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to push and pull loads up to 250 pounds using appropriate equipment such as dollies, carts, or pallet jacks.
- Requires frequent driving for extended periods.
- Requires sufficient manual dexterity to handle products, operate equipment, and complete required documentation.
- Requires adequate visual and auditory abilities, including near and far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to hear and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to safely operate delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
