Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Integrate into the Trobec's culture of safety, professionalism, and service.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on gas and diesel engines, drivelines, suspension, steering, brakes, air systems, HVAC, tires, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrate competence in utilizing technology tools for diagnosis and repair. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and thrive in a shop that utilizes technology.
- Demonstrate competence in diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot more complex engine and chassis problems.
- Produce quality on-time repairs.
- Follow company and manufacturer service intervals.
- Perform preventative maintenance as directed on schedule while inspecting and noting any deficiencies.
- Recognize component failures and suggest repairs as necessary to comply with current DOT safety standards.
- Participate in weekly maintenance meetings with other technicians and operations personnel. Accurately communicate in-service vehicle availability.
- Direct daily repair schedules to maximize performance and productivity within the department.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized work area.
- Effectively work independently or as a team.
- Participate in training and further education as directed.
