What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Foreman - Fire, Security, and Healthcare position at TRL Systems, Inc.?
We’re seeking an experienced Low Voltage Foreman to lead onsite installation teams for nurse call, security, and fire life safety systems within healthcare facilities. In this role, you’ll ensure projects stay on schedule, meet quality standards, and maintain strong communication between the Project Manager, field teams, third-party contractors, and clients. We're looking for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Schedule:
- Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
- Oversee on-site field crews, ensuring timely and successful installation of all project components.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including updating work plans, tracking progress, and closing out project tickets with detailed resolutions.
- Program, test, and troubleshoot fire life safety, security, and nurse call systems.
- Ensure full compliance with workplace safety standards, regulations, and company best practices.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of security, nurse call, and fire life safety systems, including but not limited to EST3, Lenel, and Ascom platforms.
- Lead and participate in final inspections with customers and/or Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure all work meets code requirements and aligns with contract specifications.
- Train and mentor technicians on industry standards, installation practices, and system-specific procedures to promote skill development and team efficiency.
- Exhibit consistent punctuality and reliability in daily attendance and job performance.
- 8 years in construction and/or low voltage installation
- 5 years installing low voltage in the Healthcare environment
- 4 years in a leadership role
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
- Must be able to get required vaccinations and immunizations needed
- Repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak
- Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 50 pounds daily
- Drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day
- You may work at extreme heights occasionally, and an indoor environment under all temperature variations. Confined spaces may occasionally be required.
- Work is performed in hospitals and other medical facilities with patient contact.
