We are seeking a high-performing Director of Sales to drive growth in our healthcare low-voltage business. This person will lead our sales team to expand our presence in hospitals, senior living facilities, clinics, and other care environments. You will define and execute sales strategies, manage pipelines, nurture client relationships, and champion solutions that meet the unique needs of the healthcare sector.

We are seeking a high-performing Director of Sales to drive growth in our healthcare low-voltage business. This person will lead our sales team to expand our presence in hospitals, senior living facilities, clinics, and other care environments. You will define and execute sales strategies, manage pipelines, nurture client relationships, and champion solutions that meet the unique needs of the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and present sales strategies and plans for healthcare low-voltage systems to Executive Management.
- Set short-term and long-term sales goals and evaluate progress against targets.
- Manage sales opportunities and pipelines — from lead generation to closing business — using our CRM.
- Oversee estimate creation, proposal generation, and sales reporting.
- Foster new business development and expand market reach into hospitals, senior living, clinics, and related facilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare clients to understand their needs and recommend the appropriate TRL Systems solutions (e.g., nurse call, mass notification, staff duress, environmental monitoring, access control, etc.).
- Work with internal teams (engineering, design, project management, service) to ensure proposed solutions meet code compliance, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Monitor market trends, emerging needs, and competitor offerings to keep TRL’s solutions competitive and up-to-date.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and evaluate Account Executives focused on healthcare low-voltage sales.
- Provide leadership, set performance objectives, and conduct regular reviews to grow and develop the sales team.
- 10 years in Business to Business (B2B) sales experience
- 5 years in sales leadership
- 3 years in business development.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Bachelors in Business, Marketing, or Communications (preferred)
- Challenger Sales, SPIN Selling, or Sandler Training (preferred)
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and project specifications
- Ability to drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day, daily.
- Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily
- Move/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionally
- Stand or sit for long periods (4 hours), daily
- Valid California driver license
