The Healthcare Systems Technician is responsible for the installation and field execution of mission-critical low-voltage systems within active healthcare environments. This role requires a skilled technician who can work independently or alongside project leadership to install nurse call, access control, and fire life safety systems in compliance with healthcare regulations, construction standards, and manufacturer specifications.

This is a hands-on technical role for professionals with proven experience in healthcare technology installations, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to execute clean, code-compliant work in fast-paced construction and renovation settings.

Schedule

  • Hours may vary. Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute installation of nurse call, security, and fire life safety systems in healthcare facilities
  • Perform device mounting, cabling, terminations, and system component installation to industry and project standards
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation to plan and perform installations accurately
  • Complete demolition, rough-ins, wire pulling, pathway installation, and device trim-out with minimal supervision
  • Stage materials, maintain organized work areas, and support efficient project execution from start to finish
  • Identify installation challenges proactively and communicate solutions to Leads/Foremen or Project Management
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control requirements, and healthcare facility procedures

Position Requirements

  • 2 years in construction and/or low voltage installation
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.

Physical Demands & Work Environments

  • Repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak
  • Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 50 pounds
  • Drive for 2 hours in a work shift/day
  • You may work at extreme heights occasionally, and an indoor environment under all temperature variations. Confined spaces may occasionally be required.
  • Work is performed in hospitals and other medical facilities with patient contact.
