Senior ServiceNow Developer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to serve as a technical lead for enterprise ServiceNow development initiatives. This role will provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and hands-on development across multiple ServiceNow modules and enterprise integrations.
The ideal candidate will have deep ServiceNow expertise, architecture experience, and strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Team Lead and Senior ServiceNow Developer.
- Analyze the customer requirements and develop a solution architecture that addresses the technical, management, maximizes automation, and provides operational reporting aspects of the proposal.
- Lead the development of solution artifacts, including road maps, optimization of operations, architecture and/or block diagrams with a view outside of User Story requirements.
- Build prototypes and lead technical reviews and discussions based on defined requirements.
- Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior and mid-level ServiceNow Developers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s with 7 years, Master s with 5 years, or 11 years without degree
- 8 years of ServiceNow development experience
- Experience across ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and HR
- 5 years leading technical discussions and architecture reviews
- 5 years in system architecture and design
- 5 years supporting CMDB, HAM, and SAM data integrity
- 5 years of technical leadership experience
- Experience with AWS Cloud Management Platform
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Web development, including technologies such as X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular and JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java
- Experience with implementing Java scripting to support automation across the various modules in ServiceNow.
- Experience with REST and SOAP web service protocols
- Experience with Business Rules, Workflow, Identification Rules, Workspaces and External Portals
- Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP
- Specialized ServiceNow Developer Certifications, including ITSM, HAM, SAM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, TRM/APM or HR
- An ITILv4 Foundations certification and a Project Management or Agile certification.
- Additional ServiceNow CIS certification with preference for the following:
- Certified System Administrator (baseline)
- Certified Application Developer (baseline)
- CIS Customer Service Management
- CIS IT Service Management
- CIS Discovery
- CIS Service Mapping
- CIS Strategic Portfolio Management
- CIS Application Portfolio Management
- CIS Software Asset Management
- CIS Hardware Asset Management
