The CNC Machinist will work in the machine shop and support operations. They will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Job Duties
- Proficient setup, operation, and upkeep of conversational style machines for milling and drilling. CNC lathe, I.D. and O.D. grinders, surface grinders, saws, etc
- Repair broken parts/tooling as necessary
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform continuous quality control of the parts and/or tooling in production
- Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance and/or unsafe working conditions
- Contribute to accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for developing new methods, systems and processes, exploring opportunities for job enhancement
- 5-7 years’ experience as a precision machinist with knowledge of conversational programming
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for effective manufacture of precision components, including experience in tolerance standards management
- Measuring skills using calipers, bore micrometers, and pin gauges
- Mechanical ability using hand tools
- Conceptual thinker, process improvement aptitude
- Ability to remain organized and pay attention to detail
- Must be a team player and possess a "can do" attitude
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Capable of safely operating lift assist equipment, minor rigging, hoist crane, etc
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively
