What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Host position at Trivia Knights?
Looking for new hosts for Trivia Knight, Karaoke, Music Bingo, etc. to start very soon!
The biggest requirement for a job like this is you HAVE to be comfortable being on a mic in front of a large crowd in an open space, comfortable using computer software, as well as potentially singing (if hosting karaoke) as part of this job. Currently looking for a host for up to 3-5 weekly shows of 2 hours per night ranging from 7-11pm.
Are you looking for a steady way to make money on the side while having a fun night out? Do you enjoy hamming it up and entertaining a crowd? (You NEED to be outgoing/energetic [loud with good personality] to be successful at this). Great people skills with strangers is non-negotiable.
We are looking for Event Hosts for our locally owned and operated Event Business! Our 2026 mission is to reach 20 venues in NC! We are currently based in Winston-Salem, Kernersville, and High Point and hoping to expand into Greensboro as soon as possible! To do that we need qualified hosts!
The work: Two hours a night, typically Mondays through Thursdays, as many nights as you are willing to commit! (if you are willing to work on call we are also interested in finding someone with flexibility for sick/vacation callouts!)
The pay: It's great! We pay better than every other Trivia Company in this area! While we want to be successful, we want you to do the same! So none of that 75/25 mess - we are a 50/50 business! Some of our bars also throw in a free drink or two if you partake.
The work relationship: We also want to make sure you are happy, so we keep lines of communication open! In addition, we plan events at least once a year for our employees to hang out and get to know each other over drinks and a meal!
What YOU need: A laptop with HDMI output and a headphones jack. Confident with basic math and computer skills, an outgoing personality/stage presence, and dedication to the job! Looking for someone with really BIG ENERGY/personality who can work a crowd pretty well and be funny/engaging/quick on their feet! If you have theater/acting experience, that's great!
We will be looking to schedule some in-person interviews at a coffee shop in Winston-Salem to pick out 1 or 2 hosts. We will buy you a drink while we chat about the job!
