This Position Compiles And Records Production Data For Reports On Volume Of Production, Consumption Of Material, Quality Control, And Other Aspects Of Production And May Perform (but Not Limited To)
- Compiles and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using.
- Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates; writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
- Maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets; and, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials.
- Production Control Specialist II works with designers, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to determine capability of producing deliverable end items. This individual works under the supervision of the Manager and will operate with a great deal of autonomy.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must have or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- Must have a moderate understanding of machine tool operations and the types of machines used in the fabrication of parts.
- Must have excellent capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite application (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must be able to interpret written instructions, be able to interface with potential vendors and resolve issues (customer service skills).
- Must be able to bend, stoop or lift occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation.
- All positions supporting the METTS III contract are contingent upon successful completion of NASA medical screenings at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. The need for these screenings is determined based on the outcomes of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Job Assessment Questionnaire.
- Three (3) years of applicable experience in a related field is desired.
