Overview
The primary function of this position is to build relationships with new and existing members. Provide passionate service to create HOPE for our members on their financial journey.
Role and Responsibilities
- Properly greet and extend a warm welcome to members and nonmembers visiting the branch.
- Provide exceptional and memorable service to all who walk through our doors while committing to a seamless experience.
- Maintain electronic member documents.
- Process member transactions in person, via phone, video, and electronic correspondence.
- Assist members with opening, closing, servicing, and making changes to all account types.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Interview members, originate, process, and close consumer loans. For all loan applications, the FSO will adhere to the system for approval, counter, referral, or denial reason. Anything else will be referred to Underwriting.
- Correspond with members during all stages of the loan process.
- Actively participate in all credit union incentives and cross-selling opportunities and provide referrals.
- While efficiently handling all member inquiries, you will establish and build sincere, long-lasting relationships with members.
- Promote positive and productive working relationships while achieving credit union and branch goals.
- Achieve established sales and referral goals for lending and depositing products and services.
- Respond to all member correspondence with educated decisions or direct them to the appropriate channel for assistance.
- Provide financial literacy to members to help them meet short- and long-term financial goals.
- Keep the manager informed of activities and significant problems so they can best support you.
- Maintain knowledge of, follow, and adhere to all state and federal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC requirements, including verifying member identity.
- Maintain strong credit union product and service knowledge while supporting and adhering to Trius’s standards and accountability.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
- Follow all credit union security procedures.
