What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Engineer _Automotive Parts position at Triup, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Manage quality control for automotive accessory parts (illumination components, plastic molded parts, sewn products, etc.)
- Monitor and improve supplier production quality and manufacturing processes
- Proactively identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures
- Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys), and drive corrective actions
- Prepare and submit problem-solving and corrective action reports (e.g., 8D) to internal teams and customers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM customers on quality issues, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of product defects
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to drive effective resolution of quality concerns
- Support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and related quality requirements as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of quality experience in the automotive industry or plastic injection molding manufacturing
- Experience in client communication, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience in requirements gathering, issue resolution, and project coordination with clients and internal teams
- Understanding of problem-solving methodologies (5Why, 8D report, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and accountability
- Team-oriented and comfortable handling detailed tasks
- Familiarity with the Japanese language is a plus, but not required
Work Environment:
- Full-time position, 5 days per week, fully onsite
- Work will be conducted in both office and warehouse settings
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
