Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to lead a Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration across a large enterprise environment. This is a fully onsite role in Santa Clara, requiring strong hands-on expertise with Dell Latitude systems, Intune, and Windows 11 imaging.
The ideal engineer will be highly skilled in troubleshooting BitLocker, CrowdStrike EDR, VPN connectivity, and user data migration. Strong PowerShell scripting is essential for automation and efficient deployment.
You will work directly with the IT End User Services Manager and project team to ensure a smooth and secure migration with minimal user disruption.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Windows 10 Windows 11 migration for enterprise users.
- Perform Windows 11 imaging, deployment, and new-device setup on Dell Latitude platforms.
- Use Microsoft Intune for device management, deployment, and enrollment of non-hardware-hashed devices.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft BitLocker, CrowdStrike EDR, and VPN issues during the migration.
- Manage user data migration and ensure seamless transition of files, profiles, and settings.
- Use PowerShell scripting to automate deployment tasks and streamline troubleshooting.
- Provide onsite support and collaborate closely with the client's IT team.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Dell Latitude hardware.
- Expertise in Microsoft Intune, imaging, and device enrollment.
- Proven experience in Windows 10 to 11 upgrades and deployment.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with BitLocker, CrowdStrike, and VPN.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
- Strong communication and ability to work onsite daily in Santa Clara.
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Intune or related desktop support certifications.
- Experience supporting remote or hybrid workforces.
- Prior experience with enterprise-scale OS migrations.
