About the Role
Triumph Actuation & Landing Gear Systems – Yakima is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead production operations and facility management at our aerospace manufacturing site. This role is critical in ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while driving continuous improvement across the plant.
The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing leadership experience, a data‑driven mindset, and the ability to guide cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced aerospace environment.
What You’ll Do
• Lead and manage all production and facility operations
• Develop operational business plans, labor and cycle-time strategies, and production cost targets
• Build monthly production sales forecasts and analyze risk/opportunities to meet the Annual Plan
• Ensure on-time OEM production delivery through effective ERP schedule execution
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean/Kaizen initiatives
• Analyze ERP and operational data to support predictive trends and capacity planning
• Serve as a key contributor to the SIOP process
• Collaborate closely with machine shop, maintenance, engineering, CNC programming, assembly, test, and suppliers
• Support the transition of new development products into full‑rate production
• Partner with Program Management on customer demands and recovery initiatives
• Maintain facility readiness, including preventative maintenance and property oversight
• Own operational process documentation within the AS9100 system
• Provide regular reporting to site leadership
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
• Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred
• Ten (10 ) years of management experience in manufacturing operations
• Strong background in shop‑floor leadership, product flow, and data analytics
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong verbal communication and PowerPoint presentation skills
• Data analysis experience (Excel, Power BI, SQL)
• Ability to motivate, develop, and coach both hourly and salaried employees
• Training and facilitation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 QMS
• Experience with policy and procedure development
• Lean/6S leadership background
