Responsibilities
The Quality Inspection Supervisor oversees daily inspection activities to ensure products meet AS9100,
customer, and regulatory requirements. This role leads a team of inspectors, manages inspection
processes, drives continuous improvement, and ensures documentation accuracy throughout the
product lifecycle, while maintaining a strict adherence to aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Inspection Oversight - Supervise incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure
compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, AS9100, and FAA requirements.
Team Leadership - Train, mentor, and evaluate inspection personnel; assign work based on skill
level and production priorities.
AS9100 Compliance - Ensure inspection processes, documentation, and records meet AS9100
and customer-specific quality standards.
FAA 14 CFR Part 21 Compliance and familiarization with applicable regulations
Nonconformance Management - Review and disposition nonconforming material; collaborate
with MRB and engineering to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Process Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve inspection efficiency, reduce defects,
and strengthen process controls.
Department Calibration Oversight - Ensure inspection tools and gauges are properly maintained
and calibrated.
Responsible for creating, revising, managing, and training in Quality Inspection procedures,
forms, and standard work.
Documentation Accuracy - Maintain inspection records, reports, and traceability documentation
in accordance with aerospace standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and
quality engineering to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
Audit Support - Participate in internal and external audits; ensure readiness and corrective
action follow-through.

Aerospace Quality Experience – 3 - 5 years in aerospace or precision manufacturing quality
inspection.
Leadership Experience - Prior experience supervising or leading inspection or quality teams.
Technical Proficiency - Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and inspection
methodologies.
Measurement Tools - Proficient with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other
precision instruments.
AS9100 Knowledge - Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace customer requirements.
Root Cause Analysis - Experience with 5-Why, Fishbone, or similar problem-solving tools.
Digital Systems - Familiarity with QMS software, ERP systems, and digital inspection tools.

CMM Programming (PC-DMIS, Camio, Zeiss, or equivalent)
FAA 14 CFR Part 21 familiarization with associated regulations
