Position Summary
The Retail Tenant Analyst supports the Property Management Department in the day-to-day operations of a diverse portfolio of retail shopping centers. This role serves as a key liaison between Property Management, Accounting, Leasing, tenants, and vendors by coordinating tenant communications, maintaining property records, monitoring accounts, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational support to the Property Management team.

Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant inquiries and correspondence.

Maintain organized tenant files and documentation.

Monitor tenant accounts receivable and communicate with tenants regarding outstanding balances.

Partner closely with the Accounting Department and Property Administrators to ensure tenant account accuracy.

Enter and maintain tenant lease information within property management systems such as MRI and Yardi.

Track tenant insurance compliance and maintain required certificates of insurance.

Collect, review, and input tenant sales reporting.

Coordinate with Leasing and Accounting to monitor lease expirations, renewal options, rent adjustments, and other critical lease dates.

Work with the Utilities Coordinator and Property Administrators to ensure tenant utility bill-backs are completed accurately and on time.

Process vendor invoices, respond to vendor inquiries, and maintain vendor contracts.

Assist with monthly property reporting, including reviewing accounts receivable and property arrears reports.

Coordinate due diligence activities for newly acquired properties.

Support special projects and client requests as assigned.
Qualifications
Required

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.

General understanding of accounting principles.

Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred

2 years of experience in commercial retail property management or commercial real estate.

Experience working with MRI, Yardi, or other property management software.

Experience supporting property management, accounting, leasing, or tenant services.
