SUMMARY: This position will be responsible to operate the Mucosa/Heparin area, trouble shoot and provide information to maintenance. The role will run the harvest from start to finish and communicate with operations on processes, and audit for leakage that would result in yield losses.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
· Able to complete administrative tracking documentation.
· Keep records and history throughout the process.
· Must know the process from the harvest to the reactor stage, all temperatures, and panel readings within the system.
· Be able to read all meters within the system.
· Understand the difference between raw and cooked peptone plus which storage tanks are used.
· Understand how to pump finished product into the containers and how to build a pallet to ship.
· Must be able to use simple measuring tools for stages in the process.
· Must have solid understanding of all chemicals, their usage in pounds or gallons, MSDS sheets and must place orders for chemicals in a timely manner when needed.
· Maintain customer contact numbers for any trouble shooting needs or questions that occur throughout the process.
· Must provide daily pass down information either through written or verbal communication at shift change.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma with one (1) year experience in a fresh pork processing facility working in the Mucosa area preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively communicate with production and management personnel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.
